Charlotte Douglas International Airport | Creation + Installation of Large-Scale Graphics

Charlotte/Douglas International Airport wanted to commision an artist/designer to create two large-scale pieces on the walls behind each of the grand staircases, located in the airport's main food court (only 1 of 2 is shown above). The objective was to establish continuity between the two sides of the room and create imagery that had enough visual impact to to fill this massive area. After close to 10 years, 500 flights a day in one of the nation's larget airports, travelers are still relaxing in the food court's rocking chairs and taking a moment to enjoy them.
