Gateway Village | Wayfinding: Navigational Pylon Development (B)(Continued from previous slide.) The team's first step in the design process was to present Cousins Properties with a series of concepts for the navigational pylons. These pylons were the main informational elements that would drive the design for the other wayfinding elements. Planning was crucial in the design of the pylons, such as having the ability to initially use 2-D area maps that could easily be switched out later with a higher-tech touchscreen kiosk console. Also, advertising revenue was a crucial factor in the financing of the pylons, so the functionality of replacing graphics quickly and easily while still being durable and vandal proof was also carefully considered....More on the next slide.
