251 West Main | Re-Design of Building Facade + Logo Development
The developer for this 60's era office building in downtown Gastonia needed a brand new idea and "look" to establish their property as a unique commercial hotspot in this burgeoning downtown destination. Utilizing the strengths of this property's distinct vertical and horizontal geometric lines, the design solution (left) developed by the team was to replicate the style and artistic approach of the great painter, Mondrian. Translating the bold black lines of his style as architectural applications over the property's existing facade and incorporating Mondrian's primary color palette, proved to be the bold architectural step that the client needed. Developing the identity/mark (right) simply was presenting the visual characteristics of the property, itself. (Completed while working on a team at Little- Clay Durkin, Designer) |
